1. Information we collect
When you create an account we collect your name, email address and password (stored securely, never in plain text). If you complete your profile, you may also provide your account type, organisation name, phone number, country, city, website and a short bio. We also store the preferences you set — email and dashboard notification settings and deadline reminder preferences.
2. Information generated by using FundPilotPro
As you use the platform, we store the searches you choose to save, the opportunities you bookmark, and a record of your acceptance of these Terms of Use and this Privacy Policy (including the date and version accepted). Administrative actions on the platform are recorded in an audit log for security and accountability.
3. How we use your information
We use your information to operate your account, show you relevant funding opportunities, send the notifications and deadline reminders you have opted into, keep the platform secure, and improve FundPilotPro over time. We do not sell your personal information.
4. Email and notifications
We send account-related emails (such as email verification and password resets) and, if you have enabled them, deadline reminders and saved-search alerts. Every notification email includes a way to manage or unsubscribe from that type of communication.
5. Cookies
FundPilotPro currently uses only essential cookies: one to keep you signed in, one to protect forms from cross-site attacks, and one to remember your chosen language. These are required for the platform to work and cannot be turned off. If FundPilotPro ever introduces optional cookies — for example, for analytics — the cookie banner shown on your first visit lets you choose "Accept all" or "Essential only", and you can change that choice at any time from the "Cookie settings" link in the footer. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.
6. Security
Passwords are hashed and never stored in readable form. We apply reasonable technical measures — including rate limiting on sensitive actions and monitoring for errors — to help keep your data secure. No online service can guarantee absolute security.
7. Data retention
We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data at any time by contacting us.
8. Your rights
You can access and update most of your information directly from your account settings at any time. You may also request a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account by contacting us.
